On the Hell peninsular in Poland it just had to be done.

We set up a camera on this roundabout and started to film me singing “Highway To Hell”, but I didn’t even finish the intro before the police arrived and escorted us away.
We were hoping for a live take, but enough video survived to make the joke work 🙂

Here’s the video

In the desert at Wadi Rum Saleem laid on a bedouin feast and gave me a brief lesson on playing the lute and arabic singing.
The lute is fiendish. Just tuning it is a work of art and every song we tried seemed to have a different tuning.
It was an honour to be allowed to attempt to play such a valuable instrument. Thankyou Saleem.
When I got back I recorded this Arabian Nights by Timski

One of my more memorable experiences.
Visiting the amphitheatre in Jerash we came across two men playing bagpipes and drum and I sang “Bratach Bana” in Gaelic with them for the tourists.
The acoustics were amazing. Because it’s a perfect semicircle the sound reflects back to you perfectly and it’s better than any monitoring system yet developed and it doesn’t need electricity.
Thankyou Jordan

Cane’d at the Bar’d Up

It’s the end of the ski season in Chamonix and Can’d do a farewell gig for Kevin.

I did the sound recording and Gabi shot and edited the video.

You’ll probably need to log in to Fcebook to see this, but it’s worth it 🙂
